Description
West Fraser Electro/Mechanical is based out of a 29,000-square foot production facility located in Prince George BC. West Fraser Electro/Mechanical Ltd. is a premium rebuilder and manufacturer of electric motors and related components servicing mining, pulp & paper, forestry, municipal, and transportation industries.
We have an immediate opening for a Motor Winder/Apprentice to join our company.
Duties
- Repair/rewind various types of electro-mechanical equipment. Perform all work in compliance with the quality manual and technical manuals
- Test electro-mechanical equipment to troubleshoot known or suspected problems using various methods (AC or DC.)
- Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, brazing units, VPI systems, Balancer, - Vibration data collectors
- Keep work area neat and clean
- Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear.
- Knowledge of submersible pumps
Qualifications
- Journeyman Certificate of Trade
- 2 years related experience
- Must own required tools
